so i went to get my learner's permit today. but i failed the vision exam, and i have to get glasses/contacts. i have known for awhile that my vision is not perfect, but i am so mortified that it is that bad.

i suppose this is a good opportunity for me to get over my chronic fear of sticking things in my eyes.

My immense sympathies. I have to admit, though, I'm not too unhappy that there will be someone else that Elliott and Gitte can tell that particularly embarrassing story about: it is, as you say, mortifying . . . are you going for glasses or contacts?

i had my eye test today, and apparently i am 20/70. i think i am getting both glasses and contacts, but will probably wear contacts more. i picked out my frames today...
