now i've failed the written test for the learner's permit. why am i so incapable at these things?

I HAVE GLASSES

so i went to get my learner's permit today. but i failed the vision exam, and i have to get glasses/contacts. i have known for awhile that my vision is not perfect, but i am so mortified that it is that bad.

i suppose this is a good opportunity for me to get over my chronic fear of sticking things in my eyes.
