I am awake. I do not want to be. But I'm having one of "those" nights where you wake up and can't fall back asleep. I'm very tired, but now I have to get up and go to work. Figures I am starting a new job today. More on that later.

I am sick, lying in bed with a trash can next to me, cruising the Inter-web on my laptop flavored computer. I was supposed to sub for Mr. P2 today. In a way, this is almost better. I hope I didn't just jinx anything.

It's only been 2 days, but so far I can hardly stand Ann Arbor kids. You deny them a trip to the drinking fountain with 5 minuntes of class left, or ask them to stop doing something fairly trivial but still annoying, in the nicest and most courteous tone of voice, with a smile... and they perceive it as a violation of human rights, an injustice ( Read more... )

Gas is at an all-time high, and President Bush goes on 'Deal or No Deal.' Not that I'm very surprised, but it's still unbe-fucking-lievable.

So, I'm subbing for Mr. Osbourne at Maltby tomorrow. The computer system calls me with a message recorded from him letting me know about attendance and lesson plans, etc. etc... and also to let me know that his first hour is co-taught! "Neat," I think.
