sigh… I am sad today. I have a nasty infection that is causing me considerable pain and discomfort. It's totally stupid. So here I am, all wobbly on Oxycodone and feeling down. It should be clearing up in the next couple of days, but man, our house is done! I never imagined I would be feeling so crappy and bleh on the day our house was finally ( Read more... )

:) Well, it's not a distant memory yet, but I am mostly all better now, and happily working on getting our house ready to move back into! :)

Just think, the next time you're feeling awful (which I hope is a very long time from now!), you'll be able to recover in your own bed, in your own room, in your own home.

Well, with kidney surgery scheduled at the end of the month, I'm expecting to feel pretty awful quite soon unfortunately. Especially if I have to have a nephrostomy drain left sticking out of my back for two weeks like the last time. :(

But yes, I'll be glad to go through that in my own house and in my own bed.

I remembered something about a surgery, but when I scanned back, I couldn't find anything and figured that the situation might have resolved itself. I see that I just didn't go back far enough, nor was I reading carefully enough. I hope that one day soon I'll be able to read LJ in something other than make-sure-that-no-one-has-died mode.

You've been dealing with the pain (and stress) for a long time -- I'm sure it's worn you down a little, or a lot. I hope that the surgery goes well, and that the recovery is as smooth as possible. I know that you'll be well taken care of at home. If you think that it would humor you while you're recuperating, I have an extra nurse's cap that I could send to magnifelyn. ;)
