New Piano!
Well, after many years of talking about it, we finally bought a digital piano. I'm really excited about having an instrument that I can really practice on and re-develop my piano playing skills to a level where I can at least get some personal satisfaction from playing even if I'm not a performance major anymore.

What I Learned from Super Bowl Ads

Weird Food Experiment
OK, on a whim, after I had peeled an orange for Boone's lunch, I took the rinds and tossed them in the blender with several cups of water and thoroughly blended it into a pulpy mess. I thought this article was very interesting. I've long been interested in the potential for nuclear energy, if the nuclear waste issue was better managed, and of course, uranium produces a lot of nuclear waste that is dangerous for a freaking long time. Homemade French Toast FTW!
Oh man, that was tasty. Last week I made some homemade challah, and while it was very tasty, being homemade, it didn't stay fresh for more than a couple days. So you know what to do with stale bread right? That's right, you make french toast. French toast is actually supposed to be made with stale bread because it's better that way.
