New Piano!

Well, after many years of talking about it, we finally bought a digital piano. I'm really excited about having an instrument that I can really practice on and re-develop my piano playing skills to a level where I can at least get some personal satisfaction from playing even if I'm not a performance major anymore.

The apartment where we honeymooned in Paris had a digital piano, and the moment I sat down at the keys I was in love.

How did you decide which one to buy?

Well, it was actually a very last minute decision. We were just about to buy a Yamaha Clavinova, when I read a review of this Casio Celviano, which indicated that they were largely equivalent, except that the Casio had quite a few extra features, voices, rhythms, etc. So that's what we went with. As for a larger perspective on how we decided what do buy, it was just a question of how much we wanted to spend. We went with the top of the home consumer line, not the entry level models, and once we decided on this level, it's fairly easy to narrow the field down, especially if you want to stick to the big names in digital pianos.
