When I saw my homepage I didn't know where to look what wasn't good. When I'm making website at classes it has to be 'transparent'(clear?)... In case I used wrong word: user has to see immediately where is menu etc. Halo, YT, you forgot about this simple rule?
I liked the old layout because of those "labs" features. Also it was horizontal version. I don't like scrolling down. And where is my 'X' button? But Google is big company and - like I wrote in post - they probably won't change anything. Why they 'fixed' it I have no idea. I've seen only 2... maybe 3 positive opinion so it speaks clearly how much people like it.
Yeah, some of their options aren't intuitive. Like how they hide your folders, sent mail, drafts, etc until you hover over it. It's really annoying how you have to jump through a few hoops to get to where you want.
There should be an option to go back to the old version though because I'm still using it.
If you're in the new version, click the Cog button at the top right side and then it opens this menu and there should be a "Temporarily revert back to old version"
I don't really mind the newer version if you use the "Compact" mode, (since it looks cleaner and less clunky than the Cozy vers) but I just really like my lab features. So unless they figure out a way to re-implement them in the newer version, I'm sticking to the old.
Exactly! If there was award in category "The worst idea ever", they'd win.
And sorry for my language, but they don't give a shit about their users. I subscribed "Regarding Your Feedback on new YouTube design" at their forum and you know what? Since yesterday's evening (less than 24h ago) I've received 36 messages from yt's... sorry GoogleTube's members - there were only 2 positive. But the point is that I've found in one of those messages this: "YouTube is actually no different from the previous version of the site and won’t be changing." Why did they even ask people what they're thinking? I think I'll look for different website where admins think and take care about their members.

But I agree with you, why try to fix something that isn't broken???
