congrats on losing some weight. I think people are always going to be curious because every American has the weight gain diet down, it's the weight loss diet that's tricky. Anyway I'll have to check out the books you mentioned because I like that your food list includes some restaurants and fast foods. Marc & I are too busy to cook a lot of nights and I think that's our real health downfall. Also, I've been bad for him, since we got married he gained weight, and since I got pregnant eating has taken on a whole new life. I want to eat all the time and he supports that by eating with me, and if I say something like, "You know, I'm weirdly craving a big mac right now." he's like "You know, ME TOO LET'S GO!" That food isn't good for either of us but put us together and we're suckers for it.
We need to come visit you! I don't see myself going on the float trip this year and it makes me sad.
Sounds great! I second the tilapia and broccoli at Applebee's and I'm not even much of a fish eater. I also eat the exact same Chipotle bowl topped with the chipotle tabascco sauce. :)
Spicy sprout mix? I am a big fan of alfalfa sprouts, but I am very curious about these...
When I get tired of apples for breakfast or my mid-day snack (I try usually have one for one or the other) I slice it and add cinnamon and vanilla, then warm it in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. It doesn't add many calories, but adds a lot of taste.
And just this morning I tried blueberries in vanilla yogurt (blueberries were buy 1 get one at the store this weekend, and I couldn't pass it up). It was gross. I can't imagine that plain yogurt is better than the vanilla, but at the same time it's hard to imagine anything tasting worse than the vanilla. The point of the comment? You are right, what is going to work from one person isn't going to work for everyone.
