Had a very nice time Saturday. BBQ at Chris and Nikki's house turned out to be quite enjoyable. No one threw up from drinking (which is always a fear when we visit there), and the conversation was easy. So Mark and I took McPup to the park today and she learned how to swim! At first she was a little afraid of the water, but after I showed her that it was ok, she jumped right in. Mark and I are the proud parents of a new puppy.
We've named her "Allie McPup" (Allie for short), and she is wonderful.
75% Black lab and 25% Border Collie, she's all black except for a bit of white on her chest and chin. She and the cat are getting along beautifully!

I couldn't be happier!

Worked an incredibly bad accident last night. Driver was DOA. Just reminds me how precious and short life is.
Can't and won't go into detail (I doubt any of you want to hear it anyway...it wasn't pretty).
Just thought I'd remind everyone to be careful out there.
