Mixed Feelings

Today was the last day I will ever be required to set foot inside New Trier High School as a student, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Sure, I'm excited to move on to college and experience new things, but I've become accustomed to being surrounded by some people who I may never see again, or at least not for a while once college starts.

i have found that certain freindships drift in weeks, and other can lay dormant for months and then start back up in a heartbeat. I had the exact same fears - there are so many people around you who you may not like...but they've always been there. You'll be fine. It's scary, and i had a much harder time adjusting that a lot of other people, but i did. Relationships that you really want to keep up, you will. Just look at me - i have friends who are just graduating from high school, and how often do i get to see or talk to you guys? When are we going to hang out, by the way?

For me, most of my friendships have entered a dormant state... It does feel a lot different than it was in high school, and it requires more effort to be with people, but i still feel like hanging out with people wouldn't be weird.
