The semester seems to be going ok. I'm enjoying this not taking particularly time intensive and demanding classes thing and getting totally immersed in my thesis. Right now I'm working ~6 hours a week (4 hours as a lab TA and 2 hours at the tutoring center) and I'm thinking that this is a good amount--any more and shit might start to get hectic ( Read more... ) -

I don't think I've ever loathed a class as much as a-chem. Not stat therm, not physics 100...I just don't want to be doing this right now. -

Today I went to the gym and went on a four mile run. I was listening to some loud, angry music, which was pretty motivating and I guess I pushed myself harder than I am normally inclined to. When I stepped off the treadmill I felt like I was floating.
So this is what they mean by runner's high.

After religion class
Me: Why aren't there any punk or metal songs written about Simeon? It seems like he's such a badass, and his gangrenous sores and shit totally has workable material...
Zuzu: I don't know. That's a good question. When we drop out of Reed and start our punk band we should write a song about him.

Over this fall break, my sleep schedule has gone to shit. I basically stay up until 3-4 am and sleep until 12-1 pm.
