I could take a 2 week vacation to Japan in April, with Leigh, flight AND hotel, total cost $3300

That's fucking amazing.

No, that's fucking stupid crazy.

Now if I could just pick up and go for 2 weeks like that (and had a current passport), I totally would.

One of the cool things about being on the left coast, I suspect, is that Asian trips are cheaper.

And yes, being over here means Asia trips are crazy cheaper, but Europe trips are more expensive.

I could have as well, but staying in a *fancy* hotel and flying for that price was too tempting in my imaginary flight window shopping.

www.bestfares.com was where I was trolling around.

I went to
http://www.bestfares.com/
Put in 2 adults, April 7th - 21st
Seattle to Narita roundtrip, flexible dates (+/- 3 days)
It was a United roundtrip nonstop - flight only $875 per person. Then I threw a hotel in there too....

Yeah, so if you just look @ United flights in April to Japan, I suppose you'd get there too.
