We have plumbers that should be arriving shortly to take all of our money and put in a new poo pipe.
Could be worse I suppose, it could be sewage spewing into our house or something extreme like that...

Sounds like your house to sewer line collapsed. You didn't end up with the uber-old-school clay pipe version did you?

My cousins learned that there are a lot of those surprises waiting for people in Bellingham. Nice modern city sewer system but the city only updated to the edge of properties. Houses got sold a few time with "city sewer attached" and no mention of materials. ACK!

It's unfortunately a rather common problem in Tacoma - but the houses are 100 years old, so whattya gonna do?
