Some guy wanted me to pay him $1400 to fix a car that I payed $1000 for. I payed him $188, said "later!", headed to Les Schwab, and now my dad is redoing the breaks. I'm not sure how much it's costing, but it's a hell of a lot less than $1400.

So don't worry, things could be worse. :)
