I've long been a fan of the kind of Army Boots one obtains at the military supply: cheap, easy to maintain, and if there's a tear or scuff or whatever? They're only $30.00 to replace.

I do so love my Rangers. Available in satin & patent. Flat, but still platform. Comfy with a good pair of insoles. I'm on my second pair of black pu's.

What are the surfaces (primarily) that you dance on?

I guess it would depend on if you want a heel or not, and how high if so. I wear platforms, they have height but not a hell of a lot of rake between height of heel and toe. I did all my burlesque in 4"heels with 2" platforms, looked fantastic, really easy to dance in.
