All right, I'll try this, too . . .

Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember. Don't send a message, leave a comment here. Next, re-post this in your notes/LJ and see how many people leave a memory about you.

Drinking Scotch at Potrero. I wanted to stay and talk, but had other committments. :( We only had one or two drinks, but I felt a kindred spirit in you. Probably the second or third time we had talked IIRC.

You were having a lot of pain, I think in your lower back (but it might have been legs) at the time and needed to stay in camp and not walk about.

*chuckle* I remember that. Yeah, I was hurting a bunch -- and it was my back causing my legs to hurt. Thanks to the surgery in 2007, the reasons my legs are so hurt-y today is a heavy leg workout at the gym yesterday!

It is recent, but our conversation about how unfortunate it is the way people treat each other.

It amazes me sometimes how little time we have to get to know each other at events, and how much we learn elsewhere. It's one of the things that keeps me playing with this group after 36 years -- learning what goes on inside other folks' heads.

Yeah, well: there was this cute chick on the other side of the door, too . . . maybe not as startling, but a heckuva way to meet.

DragonCon. I gave that big Klingon a Keltic salute outside the dealers' room, and later the three of us sat on the floor of my room and charged up the matching but differently shaded solid-bronze athames I had bought for us.

That was an interesting night, wasn't it -- there were a lot of people in that room -- just not all in the body. . .

*snort* ROFL -- and me, when Mark commented about his bike being "shaft-driven" saying "I'd heard that about you . . ." after which he crawled under the panel table and bit my ankle.
