To say I am disgusted beyond belief by this tale doesn't begin to cover it. It was bad enough, (mumble) years ago in Basic Training, that you had a choice on Sundays of going to church or extra barracks detail. . . . and people wonder why I'm a control freak
This weekend, I flew from Ontario, California to Phoenix, Arizona to go to the SCA's Estrella War for my SCA son's (dragonfeather ) wedding. I had been apprehensive about the trip from the beginning, but went ahead because it meant so much to him, and it WAS a wonderful wedding.

Writer's Block: Fearsome
For me, it was yet another relative dying. I lost my maternal grandmother, grandfather, favorite uncle and mother between 1961 and 1967 (age 7 to age 12). Every time it happened, my world got uprooted. Because of that, every time ANYone around me died for many years, I'd get upset, whether they were particularly close or not.
