That's really frustrating about the eyeliner. I feel for you, because I can't leave the house without both eyeliner and mascara on. I wish I could (especially on a lazy day!), but I can't. So if someone stopped me I would chuck a major hissy fit. But your mum probably is probably only saying that 'cause she cares, in an annoying-maternal kind of way. Maybe in a year or two when you're older she'll let you, because it's your face after all! (Actually, I'm sure my own mum would have said something to me when I was sixteen, lol.)

Oh, yay for The Heart Asks Pleasure First! My little sister is playing the piano and I was begging her for about a year to learn it. So she did and strangely enough, I'm not yet sick of it (unlike all her other pieces that I hear over and over again). ♥ that song.

I know....I LOVE my eyeliner, and the fact that I hate leaving the house without it makes it really bad, but w/e, I am just going to suck it up! I know my mom is doing it becuase she cares, she says I look pretty without it on, and I can start wearing it when I am a little older. Its amazing how being 16, can make you feel older and a child at the same time.

Oh so cool, you've heard that song. Its a beautiful piece, but my gosh is it challenging. Lots of finger work, heh....its going to be a nice piece for me to learn. :)

Very true. Sixteen is such an annoying age where you're always in between. (Still, that was one of my favourite years of school, so surely it can't be that bad...!) Does everyone else where it though? Because if they do, then that would royally suck. But if they don't they will soon enough it's not such a big deal, I guess.

I had to study The Piano as a film text in English about five years ago, and that piece of music made me love the film! It's awesome. And I love the fact that Holly Hunter actually played it. When I'm in a pensive mood I just listen to it on my iPod... that's not weird, it is? ;) *cough*

Oh not saying my school year is bad...just stressful with all the work and such, and considering I have college work too, it all adds up. Yep, basically everyone in my school wears make up. I mean not the entire school, but most of them. The main reason why I am not allowed to wear make up until I am older is basically a culture thing (Hispanic culture). My family believes that not until you are eighteen can you wear make up. So I must follow that rule. Yay, for me.

I was amazed that she actually did play it too, just like Adrien Brody played those extremely difficult Chopin pieces in The Pianist (Another beautiful film if you haven't seen it). And its totally not wierd that you listen to that when you are in a pensive mood, becuase I so do the same thing too, haha. That song has that effect for some reason, I am gonna listen to it now, lol. :)

I'm sure you're just as pretty with or without the eyeliner, but I understand how you feel. I only started putting on make-ups after I entered uni because my high school prohibited any make-ups. But I also think only when you're in teens, you're pretty without any make-ups, so I understand your mum's point, too.

I really envy you guys in US as you can see Premonition so soon. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Awww, thanks Bel. YOu're so sweet! :)

Whoa....they didn't permit make-up. Thats really strict. Ha...they should have that here, except a little lenient. If you see the girls in my school who wear make-up, its scary, its like they are getting ready to walk the red carpet or something. All glamed up, with waayyy to much make-up. I just like it simple, little eyeliner. But hey, I respect my moms request, its just going to be a little hard, hehe.

Ohhhhh, that really sucks! Why can't you see Premonition in Japan?? Well don't worry, I will post an entry talking about it. But I feel for you! I'll watch the movie on your half for you! LOL. :D

Yeah, my high school was very strict. Catholic girls' school, so... We couldn't even choose the colour of winter gloves! It was way too rediculous. Now look at me, I hate uniforms more than anything! lol!

Premonition will eventually be released in Japan sometime, I hope. But right now, I don't think we have a distributor. So I really hope it'll be very successful in US, then we'll have a better chance of release! Yes, please post your comment on the movie!

I understand Alex. Although I rarely wear makeup , I've been in the same position before. My mom was never strict with me, the ones who were strict with me were my grandparent, particularly my grandpa. I was NEVER the rebel, so they have no problem with me , but when I did try some stuff (no no bad stuff , I'm a good girl), they still felt I was like rebelling or something. And that annoyed me because it was like they didn't trust me. So now I can see why your mom would want you stop. You're at an age where you're trying new stuff and experimenting. It might not be soo bad but for your mom.. it's a sign that you're growing up (and from my experience.. grown ups hate that reality). They want you to stay the same in a way... they don't want to let go of you yet. Actually eyeliner and mascare aren't bad , I wear them actually .. that and foundation :) Maybe for now just listen to your mom, she means well. But like Ces said in a few years , she won't be able to stop you from wearing make up ,it is your face ( ... )

I thought it was okay for me to wear make-up, but yeah, I guess it wasn't, lol. I'm not a rebel either, my brother is the rebel in my family, haha. I didn't wear it today, and even though I felt a little wierd, people seem to think its better if I dont wear it. I didn't mind it either. Yep, my mom is very protective, I am her very last child, my brothers are already adults, and on their own living their own life. So I guess shes still holding on to me since I"m her baby. Its actually really sad thinking about it, I am leaving for a real University in 2 years. I'll be gone...Eek!

What can we say about guys?? They plain suck (well not all of them, lol, but most), they dont understand at all. ;)

Thanks so much Cheryll! I'm so grateful to have you and the other gals to talk too! You guys really made me feel better! :)

Take Care!
