*** A word to friends/comrades: A revolutionary act is an act that furthers the struggle of/for revolution. Riding a bike, saving water, eating vegan, not smoking, or not having a job are NOT revolutionary. None of the above serve to fundamentally change a society.
i think i may disagree on the revolutionary part. i find lots of small things to be revolutionary, in a personal or limited sense, if not in a world shaking sense.
that is to say none of the things you listed are necessarily revolutionary in and of themselves - i agree with that part. but i think they can be revolutionary as well.
for instance, i feel like something as simple as treating other people with respect can be a "revolutionary" act, if only because our culture teaches the opposite. i feel that reclaiming community and interpersonal relationships are acts that definitely "further the struggle of/for revolution".
i think we are having a problem with terminology here. "revolutionary" can mean a lot of different things, in different contexts. for a real discussion i think we need to be more specific, or share a more concrete definition.
