I hate how I don't understand what my computer it trying to tell me. And I hate how I'll never learn because searching for, "Computer makes DoDoDoot Blee-OOP sounds when I ask it to play CDs and then spits them out" on google doesn't come up with any hits.

Did you know my router is sexy? You bet it is.

My router is very un-sexy, thus I am dangerously jealous. I used to have a router I made myself from an old computer! Myself! It did lots of other things too. But since I wanted wireless, I had to buy one. Now I've descended many rungs down the geek hierarchy.

P.S. Does it make lots of whirring noises before it those other sounds?

P.S. Lots and lots of whirring. BUT! The other day I got it to accept a CD (I admit, I whispered sweet nothings in the motherboard), and it wouldn't play the CD anyway. The music files were .cda and it kept telling me it didn't have the hardware to play it, or something. I think it's just a polite way of saying it didn't like my music.

our computers must be related. mine does the same thing. or sometimes it will go WHirrrrrrrrrr whirrrrrrrrrr whirrrrrrrrrrrr zzzzzzzz whiiiiirrrrrrrr vrrrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooo whirrrrrrr spleh. spleh is the sound i've given to the computer forcibly vomiting the cd i'm trying to encourage it to play.

i've also determined that pepto bismol does nothing to cure the cd rom of its tummy problems

one time i told someone i put a slice of cheese in my floppy drive so that i could feed the mouse and the believed me. i didnt really do it but it was funny to watch them sweat and worry if i did
