This fic has burrowed its way into my heart and brain. I just find HOW it's written (the tense) to be so personal and intimate. And harrowing, and sad, and a dozen other adjectives I could use right now. And I could quote several dozen parts of the piece, but don't see the point. It's all perfection and makes me scared for Blaine, and hopeful for Kurt, and sad for the families and angry at Tom and happy for the Warblers. Because Blaine and the Warblers...endgame. Many thanks for a well-written update and I look forward, rather impatiently, I'm sure, to another update soon. Thanks for the chapter!
Wow. Im relieved Blaine's dad was misunderstood and not a homophobe like we, and Blaine were assuming. That childhood video about The Mole was adorable and cute and enlightening. Bravo again for the effortless son- dad conversation.
Kurt! So level-headed. I feel for Blaine, the stuff he made his mind believe about Tom was a defense mechnism, and that puts Blaine in an interesting position. It's very much a " learned helplessness" kind of thing.Since Blaine seems to have had a breakthrough sometime between For Now And Some Day, I'm anxious to know how that came about!
Thanks again for your comments on the story! I'm glad that you liked it :D
Kurt is not quite as level-headed as he appears to Blaine, I don't think, but he is very well-read on all the different things that Blaine will likely find himself going through, which helps him a lot. I honestly don't think he would have handled the last scene as well as he did if he didn't have a very good idea of what was happening and why.
And yes, Blaine is going to have a breakthrough before the story is over. He's going to have a lot of them, haha. Part of my problem now is going to be how to show that transition without making it look like he magically stumbled on the right formula that instantly fixed all his problems. Because really, his problems because of what happened are never going to go away.To be a little more positive about it, he's never going to stop getting better, either.
I do want to end it at a really positive moment that manages to somehow convey that this process is how he gets from For Now to Some Day. It will be glorious. If I

Oh my goodness, this fic. It's just perfection. You deal with such complex issues so well, hon. The conversation with his dad and the video about Blaine marrying Anderson Cooper was just all kinds of heartbreaking, and Burt being the catalyst for all of that was perfect. I love how you somehow manage to weave canon in there also, twisting it just that slightest bit so that the changes in situation are just made all that much clearer.
That last scene in Kurt's dorm room was just so, so well-written and well-done and sad. I love how, since it's written from Blaine's point of view, it's so easy to follow along with Blaine's thinking and with his actions. It makes comments like his dad's ("you're the strongest person I know") seem just as surprising to us during the reading of it as it is to Blaine, even though when we aren't entrenched in Blaine's mind anymore it's very easy to think "of course he is, he's amazing!". One of the things I love about how you write Blaine, and really every other character in this fic, is that you don't

I'm excited that you caught the canon scene in there. I watched it about a billion times trying to figure out how to twist it around for my own purposes haha.
And aaaaaah thank you so much for saying you think my characters are strong! asdfhjkl;! I always get a little fangirly when writers let a character take control of their difficult situations instead of letting them get owned by them. This is one of the reasons Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite authors of all time. He's specifically stated in interviews that he's tried to write weak women who are supposed to be pathetic and ineffective and fails miserably at it every time. You've made my month, at least XD
Yay for gif comments (and for my lines getting marriage proposals OMG - I feel like I've finally arrived!) :D
I'm so glad you like the new section, and that you caught the parallels to "Sexy" - I didn't even especially like that scene when I first saw it (it was so awkward, and Blaine was so... Seriously Blaine, you think this is a normal conversation you have with the father of a "just friend"? Why are you so slow to figure these things out??), but it worked so well as a way to connect the two universes I couldn't not use it

But seriously, I still love how slow you're taking this, and the deep look, and level of detail you're giving everything. So much of it is heartbreaking; I'm glad Blaine found those videos.
Thanks for taking the time to comment! I'm glad you still like the slow path because my God, I don't think I could write a complete short story if I tried XD
