Registration
Well, today was registration day at the high school... got there at 6:40 this morning only to have to go home again because I forgot to bring the permission slip for a parking space. A lot of people like that feeling after you get out of the dentist, that "Clean teeth" feeling (or if that's wrong, that's what all the commercials for tooth paste, etc want you to believe), but I hate it. So that girl that I leant my LotR book to about 8 months ago (which I sincerely regret) still has not given it back. I messaged her on myspace about a month ago with two ways she could get it back to me (she's leaving for college sometime soon...), and she never responded. I have since then messaged her twice more and she has deleted my messages, ( Read more... ) -

Ha ha! This is the first week of fall sports aka soccer hell week.
Previously forgotten from being out of town.
What a relief.
Of course, there is a new coach now, (old one is now assistant athletic director), so I have no idea how that's working out, but I really don't care! -
Reality check
Oh my goodness it's August already. The fair starts tomorrow... and school starts in three weeks...
And this should probably go in the entry I just posted, but this was one of the songs I learned in Orlando and I love it.

It was brilliant. (Major spoiler alert)
Although I was exceedingly depressed when Lupin and Tonks died - maybe more so than Fred. I don't think it would have been right, though, if well-liked characters hadn't died... so I guess the overwhelming rightness of the ending rather overrides my depression.
Despite my reservations about Ron and Hermione ending up together, I am, after everything ( Read more... ) -
I can't even finish the book before writing about it...
Nooo! How can she kill Fred!? As if Dobby wasn't bad enough! And Sirius before that! (I'm not so mad about Dumbledore... he had to die.) Nonono. Rowling seems to have gone killing-characters-happy with this book, and I've still got more than 100 pages left! Why Fred?
