I underwent bariatric surgery on Monday, February 5. The immediate week after was incredibly difficult, but has gotten easier with each passing day. It's weird how one little thing can be the breaking point for someone. Something menial and so innocent can be that last straw. It's sad how we allow the trivial things of life to become huge arguments; or you find yourself avoiding any kind of conversation to avoid starting a fight.

We have embarked on a new journey called the 23/24 school year and so far, it seems to be a repeat of the 22/23 year, but with less people. My bestie started his chemo today. He sent me the obligatory “getting my chemo” selfie. I didn’t realize he was going to send it, or how it would make me feel a myriad of emotions.
