Snakes alive. What a trip this has been -
I'm still up in Ashland, at the moment. In two hours (or so)
bearmum and I will be on a plane down to Oakland. We saw two Shakespeare plays(A Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night's Dream), a musical review(archy and mehitabel), two not-Shakespeare plays (The Clay Cart and Our Town), ate really good food, visited a spa, shopped, met new friends and visited old friends. It's been an amazing trip, and I'm still not done yet.
semy_of_pearls and
shadowwalkyr are coming down from Martinez to lunch tomorrow, and we are still desperately hoping for a glimpse of
ink_books_punk before I leave again on Thursday.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaagh. The brain, she is full. On the one hand, I wanna write everything wonderful down so I can remember it all. on the other hand, I'm so damn tired from all the fun we've been having, and writing is work.
So, since Gran'mama injured herself and couldn't come on the trip, we've been calling her up every night and regaling her with our adventures. We also sent her the pictures from last year's trip to South Dakota, along with a few excerpts from my LJ, printed out for her. She hates computers, y'see.
Next year, we're going to troop down to her house in Pasadena and spend our vacation there, playing board games and visiting museums. It'll be a more low-key sort of fun.
Ah, here is
bearmum. I'll try and write more details later.
