I have a job! I got hired at Red Robin and I start Thursday! :D I'll be working mostly Friday-Sunday, and probably Wednesday and Thursday nights too. At least that's the plan until I can afford day care

A note on internet school:

Most design firms want you to have a diploma from a place where you went to class in a class room... Try looking at CCAC for like, core type courses (maths etc... or whatever non-major thing you're not so hot at) and then taking design courses at x-school. It gets you a better degree.

Hm.. so you're saying before I "go" to this school, take a few classes at CCAC that don't have to do with my intended major?

nope, she's saying (and I agree with this) that you should find a college college, and not a cyber college, to take online courses with, and get rid of all of the crap courses like math and whatever online, then go in the class room for your important classes, like stuff you'll need for your major.

online courses really don't mean much if you don't have classroom experience, but you can get around it if you get online courses from a major college that has real world classes. people won't know if you went online or not, as long as you get a normal diploma from a normal school it'll make things a lot easier for you down the road.

That makes sense, yeah. I think that's what I'm going to try to do. But that's going to have to wait until I can afford day care.
