I WIN.

28 hours left in the year.

16 hours at work. 3 in transition from work to home.

The end of one scene, and one chapter, to go.

It's all luck and the hands of fate

So instead of actually trying to finish my novel, what am I doing?

Writing a short story about a different character entirely.

About the only good thing is this story is set on the same world. Durr?

Well the skeleton needed fewer bones than I thought it would. I now have a finished draft; an ugly draft, an ungainly draft, but a finished draft nonetheless.

Somehow I managed to produce 3000 words today.

I may win this thing yet.

2800 words today brings Chapter 16 to a (short, at 4500) close.

2800. And I'm at work, folks! Is ANYone feeling challenged by this?

Well, days late--15 to be exact--I think that I will pick up the gauntlet thrown down by my darling dragonoflife, and smack him across the scaly muzzle with it. I doubt I'll FINISH my novel by the 31st, especially with starting work next Thursday, but the least I can do is start to finish it. (Last year, I actually FINISHED my NaNovel at about 55,000 words. In eight hours of work today I produced 1700 words.

...I'm beginning to think there's a pattern here.

To you FiReNoMoers who haven't produced anything: NOW IS THE TIME! I call you out! I challenge you! I throw down the gauntlet! Don't let my self-righteous upstart-y self leave you in the dust! PRODUCE!

I've got nothing. Haven't written anymore to the NaNo. RL ate my time again. But finals are finally over!

Anyone else have nothing new?

Been more active on the writing front these past few days. Dispelling the indecision about the ending has really help re-ignite my desire to push on.
