Cheaters, but not liars.

Thought I'd do a quick update. I'm unwinding a little at Starbucks, and checked my quiet friends list, and realized that I have been posting a lot of non-Betsy written stuff lately. Always something I find worthy, but nothing about my life. Things are calm. Certainly not boring, but very calm.

SO, I was just listening to three men in their late 30' ( Read more... )

I remember the certain honorary dead person talking about cheating on the woman that he loved... Beyond a doubt, loved...

*shakes head*

It's all over.

Hmmmm. I have never gotten how cheating would be ok either. I'm pretty sure Mike was cheating on me, although the only confirmation I got was that his grandmother told me he took one of the girls from work shopping at Christmas time & stopped at his parents house with her. At least the guys you overheard told their wives where they were going and when they'd be back. I didn't even get that much respect. Note: that's why I'm not there anymore. I agree with you, very disturbing conversation.

I understand what you mean....
I often listen to comments about that and I wonder how common place it is as well.

I think it is more common than I thought-however, I also think that sometimes men talk the talk but don't walk the walk when it comes to cheating and such (does that make sense?).

I think many people want the security of marriage--someone to cook for them, keep their home, etc...
but really, they feel no emotional attachment to them-at least not enough to stay faithful.

I think that cheating is common....and it scares me too. But, at the same time-the divorce rate is higher than ever and shows no sign of going down again.....

I don't understand why people feel obligated to get married if they are the type of people who can't/won't be faithful.
I don't understand why they aren't honest with themselves, if not anyone else....

Wow, just wow. I don't even know how to respond or react to that conversation you heard.

That is insane and shows how it is still considered ok by some people in committed relationships to cheat and act as though it is ok.
