I realized yesterday that I have not updated this blog in approximately two years.  I apologize to those who were concerned about how Amon and I were faring this entire time.

Amon says I am too old to share a room with him; but at other times he has mentioned that I am too young.

I don't profess to understand why he thinks this way. I feel safer in his presence, when he is around...safer from SOLOMON, and safer from myself. He is my anchor.

Perhaps he does not want this role after all.

His knee has gotten worse. I keep telling Amon to have Jebediah take us into town so that he can see a proper doctor; but he is concerned about preserving our anonymity. Amon has heard from Nagira's contacts that SOLOMON does not have me on their wanted list. While this is a relief, he has not told me whether or not his name is on that list, either...I am not certain how SOLOMON deals with rogue hunters, but I can't imagine they would simply allow them to be forgotten ( Read more... )

I feel very bad today. This morning Amon tried to wake me up at 7am, but I could not get up. The air in my room was too cold, and it was too warm underneath my blankets. I was tired because I had been up late tossing and turning...not certain why I haven't been sleeping so well lately...so I refused to get out of bed ( Read more... )

I do not think it is an accident that we happened upon the Mennonite Amish group here at Chiques Creek. I feel at home here in the conservative farmtown, which for me is eerily reminiscent of Tuscany (although the farmland is much less hilly here) and il convento...women wear attire that is very similar to mine, long-sleeved and -hemmed dresses ( ( Read more... )

Amon and I are in Pennsylvania.

I am not certain how safe it is to speak of such things on an online journal, but Amon has already created his, and I have faith that if it were truly dangerous to do so, he would not have done it.
