It's funny that I posted more on my vacation than I have since I've gotten home. While outside today in the 85-degree heat, pulling weeds with sweat dripping off the tip of my nose, I realized that I do love air-conditioning. In fact, I would rather KILL someone right now so that they would put me in a prison that has air-conditioning, than live in this heat without it ( Read more... ) -
I'm using the word hate here
I have to mow my lawn today -- I don't have any rain to give me a good excuse to wait -- and I hate the idea of leaving my air-conditioned heaven. And I hate air conditioning, it's just the lesser of two evils right now. Dude. This sucks. -

Yesterday I turned 25.
And today I got to see Mt. McKinley -- the mountain that is only visible 20% of the time, but decided to show her lovely face just for me today.

Well, it's official. I'm sad to leave the ship tomorrow morning. We just got finished with our last dinner and so many people came up and hugged us good-bye and took pictures with us. Today we are at sea, so I'm having a chance to get down here and post some pictures. Thursday we spent in Skagway, which is probably the most touristy town we've been to so far. Ok, it took like an HOUR to upload all those pictures yesterday, so today you only get 3. DEAL. But they are good, I promise you. Today my Grandma and I hiked on a glacier. I'm going to repeat that, because it bears repeating. We HIKED ON A GLACIER. We took a helicopter ride, landed right on the ice, and hiked around for 2 invigorating hours. I ( Read more... )
