[ It is somewhat early on into the morning now, but... he cannot sleep. Eight a.m., and he hadn't slept yet. Naoya's sleep habits were always terrible; he wished he could forget everything, sometimes. Right now, most of all, he was likely in a sour mood, as he tended to be in the early morning. He was worried about Hiroki. ]... Tell me, Vatheon... ( Read more... )

Hihi! I don't think I've answered all of your questions but it's something to think on.

[ ... So amused. You can hear it in his voice. SO amused. He's immune to your perverted answer, though. ]

Having an open mind isn't necessarily a bad thing... but it being manipulated easily is the fault of the person, I would think. Although, if you were to be attacked by a demon... well, wouldn't that be different.

[ An absent shrug that goes unseen. ] Either way, illusions are completely different from reality. Simply because one person believes one thing does not make it true. Although I must say, if someone were playing chess with me, I think I'd prefer to have the board bite them back.

If you were to come face to face with, then you'd have no choice but to accept it exists.

Sometimes its difficult to tell apart illusions from reality.

What!? That's just insanity..

... Well, if someone were playing chess with your life, I rather think you'd prefer the pawn rise up and bite the one handling it, wouldn't you? In the metaphorical sense.

[ So amused. ]

Of course... reality is subjective.

... tricky question as per usual.

[But she'll give it a shot! She's quite clearly thinking and trying to give the best answer she can.]

There's no real good or bad, I think, there's only what people believe. I took in an assassin once. Personally, I was happy to preserve a life and I don't regret it. But I think a lot of people would've hated me for it if they knew. Ultimately, saving lives is supposed to be good, but there's always going to be someone who disagrees.

So there's my answer. Now here's my question. How're you this morning, Naoya? You look tired.

... Aha... that's precisely right. When one can be the other, the definition is dependent upon who you ask, isn't it?

[ ... Exhausted. Tired. Worried, and tired and exhausted and haunted and so many things-- ]

... I'm fine, Saya.

Preeeetty much. But well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion so that works out just fine too. Can't help it.

[A tilt of her head.]

You sure? I can't tell you anything you probably haven't already thought of, but just sharing now and again wouldn't be bad.

[ He just closes his eyes and laughs quietly. He is... extremely tired. ]

... Doesn't everything work out just fine for you? How can you accept the fact you've died, simply like that?

[ It might sound like an out of the blue question, but... ]

Do you think all people would be as forgiving to their murderer...?

[He wasn't doing much when he heard the message. Not really remembering much of this guy, save their first conversation, but he listens anyway.]

[Heh. Sounds like one of those types. The Rebels who think they know everything to be seen but when you put a gun in their hand and tell them to shoot they cry and run home to their mothers.

America hates those types.]

You speak like you've had a lot of experience, dude. I'd like to hear about it, if you do.

I remember once, way back when in the middle of 'Nam. I was sitting with my troops and one of 'em asked something like that. "What makes us heroes? Are we truly fighting for something right?"

Mind you, these guys swapped stories like teens swap spit, so, it was a bit surprising to hear that. Especially after everything we'd been through.

Now, now, if I said what I think, that might affect the outcome your answer, don't you think~?

[ He's not going to tell you it's a trick question, silly. ]

I don't want my entire opinion into this until I've heard it from everyone else; it would be biased. Is there any particular reason you're withholding?
