I just found out that my 13-year-old brother didn't get D.A.R.E. in fourth grade. Or fifth grade, OR sixth grade. Also (and I hope he is exaggerating) the entire "substance abuse" section of his seventh- and eighth-grade health classes was one video about why you shouldn't smoke weed

The problem is that D.A.R.E has proven to hurt more than help, as in give kids suggestions on how to get high rather than convince them to not get high.

I'll be honest though, the best drug education came from a girl named Jenn, who gave me a play by play off all the drugs she's ever done.

That's exactly what my brother got last night. Not from me. (I have disreputable friends!) And he seemed excited and really listened. Now, at least, he knows. I hope my parents don't kill me.

We finished off the night by watching "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" until my parents came home.

And as a funny side note.
My friend wanted to trip and he wanted to do it with me because he felt comfortable.
So we eat mescaline and we're sitting around and I notice the couch has started to breathe and stuff for me so I can't imagine whats happening to him.
He started to look really nervous and I pointed to the rug,
Me: You see that?
J: Yeah.
Me: That rug is reweaving itself, right?
J: *Nervous silence* Well no... its just.. I mean its...
Me: No, it's reweaving itself. And that's weird and strange and doesn't make any sense. But it's pretty- And don't worry. It'll stop by the morning.
