Snow Day

I find myself snowbound today. There have been other times where I thought it more sensible to stay in but this is the first time where I am unable to get the car out. This is because within a weeks time, Mother Nature deemed it necessary to dump two feet of snow

The drift on the west side of our house is definitely higher than 3 feet. I may need to take some photos of my own.

Do you remember the picture we took of Boomer walking on top of the snow drift that wrapped around the red station wagon?? Do you also remember that after being snowbound for over a week that your brother came down with Chicken Pox, keeping us home for another week and then you came down with them, too, keeping me in the house with you for another week?? That was a really long, cold winter for me!!!

That is precisely the winter that I recall when these sorts of storms dump a ton of white stuff in my vicinity.

Send us your snow! I think we got 3 mm last night. The Iditarod mushers are having trouble because there is so little snow.

Seems to me that an Iditarod without snow is more like an extended dog walk.

If it is any consolation, we are expected to get close to 40 today. Instead of 10,000 lakes, we'll just be one big one...
