Confident, Again....
Well, it has been a couple of weeks since the Great Happy Disaster. And I am happy to report that Happy is humming along just fine. This past weekend, I decided to convert her over to do caps. Nightmare Is Over
Whew! It has been a very long week. My Happy Embroidery Machine had become a very expensive brick with needles. I had tried to update the firmware to the newest version. In doing so, I had wiped out all of the programming. The LCD screen had gone totally blank and then the whole machine had stopped working. Yikes.

Living a Dream
I am living a dream. And I never would have guessed that even 6 months ago that I would be doing this today.

Alas, all of that work and effort and Christmas is over.
It was different this year. My father passed away this year and I missed him terribly. There was a void in the room, and in my heart. But we still kept to our traditions. Vacation Number One
What a wonderful week we had. My husband and I enjoyed our first full week’s vacation at our weekend retreat home near Cecilton, MD. We have gotten into the habit of taking the week of Memorial Day, the week of the 4th of July and the week before Labor Day off from the drudgeries of work.

Yesterday was Mother’s Day. I woke up and was watching a local Baltimore TV station and they were, of course, honoring mothers. For some reason, it really hit me hard. I cried, suddenly missing my mother, who died in 1996, very, very much.
