I took a little break from my near-constant TD work to draw other things today! Just sketch and do whatever. LOOKS LIKE IT TURNED OUT TO BE 100% GAME COLLAB STUFF OF ET CETERA FOR sfemonster. The jerk.

done over the course of listening to several Jethro Tull concept albums )

sketchjournal, et cetera, game collab

WHOO WHO FINALLY HAS TIME TO COMMENT ON LIVEJOURNAL OH SNAP KORY DOES.

I think my favorite thing about this project is how you can take old characters that you either haven't done anything with in a long time or retool other characters for funsies. I like all the different versions of Sal's Arms (also I like naming people by the professions, like the Navigator or the Collector or whatever. Also I really need to put a map together for my level and GET A FREAKIN' NAME GOD. WAY TO RAISE THE BAR, SHEANA, JEEEEEEEZE.

Also I just saw the "Asshole Tree" caption up in the corner of the map. HILARIOUS OR HILARIOUS Y/Y

I honestly can't think of any name for it outside of Asshole Tree, so that it remains for now hahaha.

Man dusting off ancient characters and making variations of others is SO my favorite part of this project. Because mucking around with characters and thinking up alternate versions is what is best in life.

Oh man, I am a fan of how you have fit Sal into this! For someone who has not played a Point-and-Click game, you sure have a good grasp of how the complicated "first you must get this item to unlock this door to signal this person to get this place and pick up this item" system works. I AM ALSO A FAN OF ET CETERA'S ENTRY- especially the two gargoyles (clever!), but ESPECIALLY that there is a dead end right next to it. Nouveau gargoyles: I am a fan.

ALSO KORY HAS ALREADY COMMENTED ON IT, but that map is HELLA slick. I have been working on mine and turns out it's MEGA HARD TO PUT A MAP TOGETHER? MAN, WHO KNEW. I am a big fan of how yours looks! GOOD WORK. P.S. Whatsit cub: yesssssss. Seriously, how much do I wish this was a real game? ANSWER: SO MUCH.

It wouldn't be the same without Sal! And everything I know about p&c adventure clicks I learned from Problem Sleuth and an import of Monkey Island I played for fifteen minutes, hahaha.

I WOULD TOTALLY PLAY THIS GAME.

Oh man, I LOVE Ratsus's design. He looks SO slick and full of personality, and his build and costume are just so fun. There is always such a sense of dynamism and movement in your drawings, even the ones that are standing still. Your gate is also really neat-looking, and a great distillation of the two aspects of Et Cetera. Your map turned out really well too.

I just love how many old designs and old characters you're adapting to this. Making alternate versions of characters and revisiting ones you haven't touched in a long time is always a blast, and I love seeing other people do it.
