London Fandom First Thursday Meeting: A Proposal

We are initiating this new thread as an attempt to pull together the various aspects of the First Thursday debate and move towards something that constitutes a decision with which we can all live. Even though I am a "non-london fan" I have followed the Pub Story with interest. It almost seems worth taking a long weekend at the start of the month to see what all the fuss is about.

Very sensible proposal.

As I've already stated elsewhere, The Inertia Party supports this proposal, insofar as I will be attending The Barley Mow next First Thursday.

Might I further propose that in honour of the 'winning' party we henceforth refer to the occasion as The Mowmen'Ton?

It's possible that I won't be able to make it at all in March, but if I do I will be at the Barley Mow.

That seems to make sense to me.

While I am still dubious about The Barley Mow's accessibility for West London fen, the majority seems to have spoken...

Although one can never really tell with him, cardboardnewman has been v triumphal over the last few days, and seems convinced that It Will Be The Mow.

Personally, I'm just happy to go wherever other people do, but I think that part of the problem is that too many people have been saying that. It is a Good Thing that you have done.
