Trying to leave the cottage at the moment, but Molly-cat vanished quite handily the moment that she saw me packing anything. She's resistant to any sort of blandishments I might provide, from rattling food to opening a tin of tuna. Back at the cottage after getting much of university stuff sorted out and spending way too much time at Starbuck's. I wound up getting an account there for wifi, because the library's hours at school are very limited right now, and I don't really like hanging out at the Campus Rec Centre until it closes. c_c ( Read more... ) -

In London. May not stay here -- no wireless networks to borrow, which means communication with UWO is difficult. I may head back up to the cottage if I can't find a solution other than sitting in Starbuck's for two hours a day. -

Pause!
Stopped after nine hours or so of driving in Wolf Point. Still not out of Montana yet, but the state is huge. Didn't want to keep driving when I wasn't sure that there would be a hotel with wifi within an hour's drive (as my cut-off point was 11pm ( Read more... ) -

Gardening
One of the Brandywine tomato plants has died, unfortunately, just after it blossomed. I'm not sure why just yet; I know it got enough water down to the roots, and nothing ate it, nor did I see any insects that could've eaten it. That said, I have two others who have tomatoes on them that ought to be ripe before I leave in the first week of August ( Read more... ) -

Going back to UWO in August has been giving me a good bit of worry -- given how late my file was reviewed, it was uncertain as to whether I'd get into residence. I think I've solved that now ( Read more... ) -

I think my cat has discovered how to open the front door on her own. This results in three or four mice being deposited on the welcome mat as presents in the morning.
