You Walk Wrong: It took 4 million years of evolution to perfect the human foot. Aha! Now I am justified for walking around work barefoot during the summer months! Next time I have large of amounts of money to spend I'll get toe-shoes. :-D

huh. podisodd walks like that (correctly, apparently) even with shoes and claims it is an adjustment from working for years in a kitchen with all manner of things to slip on underfoot. He goes through shoes very, very quickly because he wears out the sides of the soles where most people don't put any weight at all. funky.

more benefits to our shoe-free household. sweet.

Thanks for the article! I have an odd stride: long, quick and quite heavy. My right ankle also turns in a bit. I also have bad balance, which rules out anything with high or narrow heels or shoes with a smooth sole. Paradoxically, my bad balance may save my feet.

These Chinese martial arts shoes look like they overcome almost all of the objections in the article, and I dearly love how such shoes feel.
