speaking of students in lebanon, it turns out that one of my pharmacy school classmates was in the air about 6 hours away from landing at the airport when it got bombed. now he is appearantly stuck in london and trying to get back to california. sometimes i'm glad that i'm broke and unadventurous.

oh how i long for the day when it doesn't take 25 minutes to find parking at my own home followed by a 6 minute hike in 64 degree weather even though it is the middle of july. but i should look on the bright side, right? at least i am not an exchange student in lebanon.

my car won't start. it is parked in someone else's driveway about a block from my apartment. i am so sad. mommy and daddy are on their way with a new battery to save the day. i hope the DPT doesn't tow it before they get here. i hate the city. this would not have happened if i didn't have to drive around for over thirty minutes looking for ( Read more... )

Every time I see old people struggling to walk around in the hospital it reminds me that I need to exercise.

today at work one of the nurses in the icu was humming the jeopardy theme song as i was filling the pyxis machine. yeah lady, that's gonna make me move faster. be a good nurse and wait your turn.

this morning, at about 5:30 in the morning, i was rudely awakened by an earthquake. as my rickety ikea loft bed shook back and forth, i wondered if the old house would collapse on me. but before i could decide to get out of bed, it stopped. stupid city. too bad no one else was around, i could have asked "what the hell was that?!?"
