Back from my trip to France and Italy with Ben. Ah... Nice to have Diet Coke (as opposed to disgusting Coke Light) but I miss him already. And Europe. Although I think Italian was having a negative influence on my Spanish.

Shelby Foote passed away at age 88. Clearly the worse thing to happen in ages. I miss him.

My first two days at the Strand have been okay. I'm constantly on my feet shelving books, which is quite grueling work. Lots of ladder climbing and book shifting. There's a guy here talking to my parents about some sort of insurance. Life insurance, I think.
