I went tonight to the opening of the local branch of Barack Obama's presidential campaign office. It was an excellent opportunity to meet people in the area and share views on the presidential race. So I attended the hearing on the 10th of April
On April 10th, I attended a state senate hearing on Pennsylvania Senate bill SB 1250, which would define marriage explicitly and bar any other "union" from being "valid or recognized as marriage or the functional equivalent of marriage by the Commonwealth." Of interest to Pennsylvania voters
Pennsylvania Senate bill S1250 is currently moving through the state Senate. It would begin the process of amending the state constitution to declare marriage as specifically between one man and one woman.

Working with 3D on the web, the question of Second Life comes up from time-to-time. It has become something of a whipping boy around our office. On the messiness of human language
Yesterday, I learned for the first time the intended meaning of the phrase "Have your cake and eat it, too."
It seems strange to me that I was able to get through so much of my life without properly comprehending what people meant when they said this phrase. At least I'm not alone; apparently, it's common knowledge that the phrase is constructed ( Read more... )
