What the hell? One of the best library schools is in Philadelphia.

It's bad enough when I see news about state historical societies having to close their doors to researchers, but your own public library?

The mayor of Philly was on CNN a few minutes ago talking about this. Apparently, they're also looking at having to lay off some police, firefighters, other emergency responders, social services, etc. as well. He's not happy about any of this, but Philly's completely strapped for cash and nobody in the state legislature is willing to raise any tax revenue to help.

Thats terrible. If Lonemagpie and I lived there we would just open our book collection as a library. If people didnt bring it back,tough. I hate the idea of a generation growing up without books.
