It was 10 years ago today that we went to the animal shelter and brought Dakota home to become part of our family. He was completely untrained, had absolutely no manners, and was so skinny to be almost emaciated. He is the smartest dog I've ever known. I also think he's pretty much the cutest and handsomest dog in the world, but I could be biased

I think that will always make me cry a little. I can't wait to see him and love him. He brought me so much comfort when I missed Champagne so much.

He's an amazing dog and definately with the right family.

Mac says -- and I admit the translation might be a little rough -- "HI DAKOTA! HAPPY VERSERSARARY! WANT A COOKIE? I HAVE YOGURT! COME OVER FOR COOKIES! OR YOGURT! LET'S GO POOP!"

At least, I think that's what he said....
