i've only read the sun also rises by hemingway, but the best part of the novel was definitely the last few lines.

i just found that sort of strange, since he thinks something so condensed is his best work. makes me wonder why he provided so much detail

compared to other authors of the time his writing was a lot more bare though, he doesn't dress it up much
