The rheumatologist has got it narrowed down to one of the blood disorders and about halfway sorted. Apparently I probably have a form of pernicious anemia? And since the tests for the common parasites came back negative, it's probably autoimmune. While standing at the counter to get food, I discovered that this hip pain feels better standing. As long as I take baby steps and don't bend or twist at the waist, everything feels okay.
