Walking to work today, the air smelled funny. It was something that I hadn't smelled for quite some time. It reminded me of my childhood. The way the early winter twilight seemed to hit the sidewalk, combined with the sounds of people and traffic only aided this feeling. I could almost smell a little vanilla in the air.
