coolness.

it's taken 6 months, but i finally have learned to enjoy cold showers. maybe it's the 90-degree weather that's helped me warm up (pun intended) to them, but whatever the cause, i just want to suggest to those of you who haven't tried it that a cool shower in the middle of a grossly hot & sweaty day is one of the most refreshing things you can

i concur. i'm a huge proponent of cold showers on hot days.

you know what's interesting? when i was in georgia last summer, it was so sweltering hot that I couldn't move half the time and someone told me to take hot showers in the middle of the day, that it causes the body to cool itself more effectively. i thought the suggestion ridiculous until i actually tried it and it really did help. of course, nothing beats running through sprinklers.

that is interesting.
i'd be happy to test it if only i had hot water.
sprinklers rule, agreed. ben & i have been discussing investing in either a wading pool or a slip-n-slide...

man, i thought that having a high ceiling in our house would make it cool during the summer, but the house traps the worst kind of hot right around now, the muggy, weighty, suffocating kind of hot.
