Probe, away.

So I gave in, and I started playing Dragon Age 2.

I've never actually played a non-lego video game before, as I don't have the hand-eye coordination for it. But holy fuck, after watching Mary plow through it, I had to give it a try.

And I am loving it.

Thoughts so far, possibly spoilery. )

If you like DA 2 you should try the best game ever made (imo) Fallout 3. Talk about an addiction you'll never kick. I wonder if they have a twelve step program.... I could use a good coffee..

I tried it, and for some reason, I could just not play it. I think it was because EVERYTHING looked the same,.

But man, when my housemate played that shit? I watched it like it was a MOVIE. I get the addictive part, I spent hours sitting on the couch staring at the screen. And the soundtrack <3 <3

I know what you mean, with everything looking the same, but there was just something about it that made me have to follow it through. And it made me so sad when it was over. The best part though?

In the DLC you go to main, where there's this mission to help a ghoul in a mansion to defend it from a group of raiders called "tribals". The reason it's awesome? This ghoul dude looks like he could be Tony, or Howard Stark.

Oh, and then there's the battle that you have to stop between wasteland super hero and villain "the Mechanist" and the "Ant-agonizer." The Mechanist is a man in a suit of armor who fights a woman in an ant costume...

Fallout New Vegas also has a character that is like Howard Stark, and looks just like him. And when I read his wikipedia... has a backstory that sounds very similar to Tony's.
