So I was introduced to xkcd a few weeks ago by Jon, when he visited my office to help in the effort to prove to the USCIS that Bev and I are a legitimate, loving couple. When are you gonna come down?
Last Monday, Larry was nearly taken out by a vehicle travelling too fast outside the Gold Dome. Friday was my day for a bad traffic incident. I was rear-ended by an Olds Silhouette van driven by an unlicensed driver and five of his closest co-workers riding along with him. That's probably not the only "un" to be said here, either. Oh, one other thing. We got the confirmation of delivery slip back from Mesquite, Texas. The paperwork arrived there, and is presumably in a stack waiting to be processed. Baby steps. -

Relay For Pie
Next time I go a day and a half without sleep, I want to finally find sleep in Australia. Coming back to the house from Relay For Life was a bit of a disappointment when compared to those trips Down Under. I had a good time at Relay, getting to know some of Bev's fellow teachers. Relay For Life, Hall County, is tomorrow night. I'll be there supporting Bev, who's the lead organizer for her middle school. They've raised over $5000 so far. We'll both be up all night. Bev is suffering no ill effects from her recent surgery, discussed in a friends-only post recently ( Read more... ) -
Pandora's X-Box
The Cowboy Junkies show went well. After parking two hours before showtime and grabbing dinner at Little Five Pizza, we wandered down to the Variety Playhouse for the show. My co-workers and IT Protector Edwin was there with a friend, and we sat down next to him. General admission is a wonderful thing if you can stay on schedule.

instant and not-so-instant replay
There are times when I wish I could go back and watch a scene in a show again. I know the technology is out there - virtually all of my friends have it with their cable or TiVo systems. But my house is still not wired for cable, never has been, and I'm not ready to commit to Comcast or a dish yet.
