Couldn't sleep last night in spite of no caffeine all day and Zzquil before bed. So read Falco one-eyed until 4, packed it in, and slept- as ever with 4 a.m. bedtimes- until 10:30. We're having a cold snap that's set to last longer than any other cold weather has over the last three years. And yeah, I know I've had to turn on the water in the basement to stop pipes freezing in recent winters, but I've never before had the odd ache that titanium steel knees undergo at these temps. Laundromat was achieved yesterday, physio today, tomorrow has a grocery delivery coming-- heavy or bulky stuff like frozen turkey and toilet paper. At the super today I found a frozen turkey crown, as it's called. Whole turkeys were going for $23 so I put it in the basket, but at checkout it turned out to be $42. Rain all day. I was semi-virtuous and vacuumed some of the upstairs (hall, side bedroom, bathroom) then came down and assembled the Dirt Devil, more or less. There are two screws that are supposed to go in to hold something together but I don't have a small enough screwdriver and things seem to hold together well enough without it.
