I just downloaded an mp3, and thought I'd pop it on my phone (to join the other three on there; I very rarely listen to music on my phone

I wish I could help, but I'm a total dinosaur who still goes for CDs...

So do I! I mostly only listen to music in the car, so usually what happens is that a CD comes into the house, I rip it to my laptop, burn a copy of it and then the original goes on the shelf never to return and the copy goes in the car until it gets knackered, at which point I burn a new one!

I ought to do that - instead my normal thing of knackering originals and then sulking cos they ought to last forever...

That's why I started doing it!

The copies don't last as long as the originals, but at least I don't care when they're gone.
